When worry becomes difficult to carry
Anxiety is a normal response to stress. An anxiety disorder may be present when fear or worry is persistent, feels difficult to control, or begins to interfere with daily life. Anxiety can appear emotionally, physically, or both.
Anxiety may affect concentration, sleep, work, relationships, and the ability to enjoy everyday activities. A thoughtful assessment can help distinguish anxiety from medication effects, medical conditions, trauma responses, or other mental-health concerns.
