Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Individualized care for intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.

Understanding the condition

When unwanted thoughts or rituals take over

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) involves recurring, unwanted thoughts, urges, or images called obsessions; repetitive behaviors or mental acts called compulsions; or both. These symptoms can be time-consuming, distressing, and difficult to control.

OCD is not simply liking order or cleanliness. Symptoms can affect relationships, work, sleep, routines, and the ability to leave home or complete ordinary tasks.

How Rocío may help

Care that begins with listening.

Care begins with a nonjudgmental evaluation and may include:

  • Review of obsessions, compulsions, distress, and daily impact
  • Education about evidence-based treatment options
  • Medication management when clinically appropriate
  • Coordination with an OCD-informed therapist when indicated

This page provides educational information and does not replace a medical or psychiatric evaluation.
